BE BOLD TODAY
I found the answer! I have felt this, almost everyone has, and lately it seems like everyone around me just has that feeling of being unsatisfied. You get to the point of asking yourself, how can I get rid of this feeling? Well, sit down and take a deep breathe, I have the answer... The answer is Jesus. Now don't close out of this page just yet...I'm not saying that to say Jesus is the answer to everything (He is), but I have more than that. Not just we as Christians, but we as Americans have adapted a culture where we are unsatisfied a lot of the time. Why you ask? Because our generation has the mindset of "I want the new thing". As soon as the new iPhone comes out, so many of us are trying to get is ASAP. Now don't think I'm saying, "technology has ruined us", because I'm not. I personally believe technology has become a help to so many things in our generation. But that mindset makes it to where we are unsatisfied until something new comes along. Back to the answer, so many things are and will change, but the Lord will never change. That part in your heart that you keep trying to fill, the sadness, the hurt, the questions, all of it doesn't matter when you come to know the Lord of all creation. I am a Christian, I know the Lord, I'm happily married, I have so many blessings, and yet I STILL feel unsatisfied sometimes. But when I do, the first question I should ask is, "How is my relationship with the Lord right now?" I can tell you most of the time when I get to that point, it's not good because I have stopped making the Lord my priority.
So again, I have the answer. The funny thing is, I've known this answer, and now you do too. It's like you're in class and the teacher asks a question. You think you know it deep down, but you don't say anything because you know your teacher will ask another question on top of that. Well you've guessed it, I have another question for you too. When are you going to take the answer you now know, and apply it and let God ultimately satisfy you and let Him be in control of your life? Easier said then done... yes. But what hurts more, constantly being unsatisfied, or giving God ultimate control? Now you will have hard times, we are still sinful people but knowing the creator of the universe, the creator of YOU, wants to lead you, and wants to do great things in and through YOU, well that makes it worth it. I have a challenge for you today, everyday for the next 30 days, at some point each day spend some time with the Lord and when you pray let God know your thankful for Him, and remind yourself what your grateful for. We don't have to live our lives being unsatisfied, God alone is enough to satisfy us all. "The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God endures forever.” - Isaiah 40:8
