BE BOLD TODAY
We can find a lot of words in the dictionary, in the different "slang", and on social media. Some words can excite, worry, or scare people! That alone shows how powerful words can be! But one word that may or may not scare you is the word change. I don't mean changing your clothes, that is a GOOD change and I highly recommend it! (: But I am focusing on change in our day to day lives, I know I tend to overthink on this subject a little too much! Now sometimes a change is much needed, it's a way to look at the world, and the life that God gave you a little different. But sometimes we may have a lot of change at once, and that can be a bit scary. For me personally a lot has changed lately. I got engaged to the man of my dreams, I got a new job that is starting to change a little more, I am starting photography and painting, I am starting new classes soon, and many more things. Something you should know about me is im an over thinker, probably the worst one you could ever meet. So you can probably guess I have had stress recently.
Now I'm not going on and on about my life for you to feel sorry for me, or for you to think "oh my goodness can you talk about anything else?". But to say this, I let the change, and the stress builds up for way to long. I wasn't spending time in the word, and it was showing in my day to day life. I was reminded of the following scriptures, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." - Deuteronomy 31:6 this reminded me of the love and grace God has for us, He NEVER leaves us, and he always has the best plan for us. This encouraged me to give it all to God, and reminded me that I gave my life to HIM, not parts of my life, but all of it! "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." - Hebrews 13:8 this reminded me that no matter what change God has planned for us, He will NEVER change; He is the same today as he was 10,000 years ago! He has known your name since before creation began, and He has still never forgotten you. " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 this is a famous verse, but it can be taken out of context and even forgotten from its true meaning. This verse reminded me if I seek the Lord and His will for my life, then the plans He has for me, the change He has for me, will bring Him glory, and will ultimately please our God. I don't know what you are doing this morning, I don't know if you forgot your keys upstairs, spilt coffee on your shirt, got an "I love you" from your daughter, lost a loved one, feel nothing but regret, or had a wonderful breakfast with your family. But what I do know is our Father in Heaven loves us, He always has and always will. His love is like no other, He wants to hear from me today, and He wants to hear from you. If I've learned anything from this season of life it's that if we stay true, and close to God, trust in Him, and follow His plan for our lives we will be filled with Joy in the good and bad times. "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."- 2 Peter 3:9
