BE BOLD TODAY
Why hello, I wanted to introduce myself real quick! For those of you who don't already know, my name is Kailyn Bird. I am a wife to my best friend, John Bird, and a mom to my best bud, Paul Bird. Sometimes I end with that, but don't you worry that's not the only things that describe me!
I have gained the roles of wife and mother within the past two years. That is a lot for anyone to take on, and trust me it is really easy to lose the little things that make you, you! But I have changed these past two years in many ways. Some of the things that mattered to me then, simply just don't matter to me now. BUT after having Paul, and getting into a rhythm again, I am doing things that make me happy, joyful, and just things that make me who I am today!
Examples: Photography, painting (just for fun), finding new coffee shops and places, hiking, BEING SOCIAL AGAIN.
I can't tell you enough how important it is to not lose yourself in your job, or in this world we live in today, God made us all unique, and special in our own ways, let's not hide those gems that are within us! That leads me to my final way to identify yourself: in Christ. Like I said, these past two years have changed me a lot, in the best ways too. But something that has not changed, is finding my identity in Christ. We are all fearfully and wonderfully made through him, how lucky are we to be something the God of all desired to create?
~ I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. ~ Psalm 139:14
So today I want us to do something that we simply enjoy doing, maybe that's a talent, maybe that's time with the Lord, or maybe that's spending time with a friend. Whatever it is, let’s make our identity shine in and through Christ. Remember, sometimes those dorky, fun, and crazy sides of us are dying to make a appearance!
Hey there! Thank you for visiting my blog today. My name is Kailyn and I am a Christian blogger, Coffee drinker, and now a mom! Sounds like your cup of tea? I would love to hear from you!
