BE BOLD TODAY
From the beginning there was temptation, and with that a choice was made and sin was brought into this world. But with all the sin in the world, God sent His son to die for our sins, so we can be with Him again. What does this look like in today's generation? What does this look like for you? What does this look like for me? This morning I was reading through scripture and this hit me hard. Even the sin I gave over to God, Satan still comes back and tempts me with it. Why does this happen? If I give my sin, my problems, my life to God that means EVERYTHING will be peachy right? Oh how wrong I've been.
In Genesis 3, we see Satan tempted Eve to take the fruit. The thing we forget is he did not put the fruit in her hand, he did not force her to eat it, it was a choice. So with me in my own life, when problems, or temptation appears I have a choice. BUT, the difference is in that choice I can, and need to run to God not my own selfish, and sinful desires. -James1:2-3 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." This verse has always been a favorite of mine. One, because it shows us that we are all human, and we all go through trials. But most of all it shows us even when we have trials God uses them to make our faith in Him stronger. When we are stronger and closer to Jesus we are able to turn to Him in the good times and the bad. That is where we find our joy, in knowing that God loves us, forgives us, and is using us even when we are tempted, or mess up. This morning i was reminded of things I gave to Christ, the past, and the shame, but God showed me His grace, His way, and His love.
