BE BOLD TODAY
With a new year starting, everyone starts to think of what they want this next year to look like. We have small goals, for me that looks like not getting annoyed with my son or husband for a week. Let’s call the other, "medium goals". Mine is probably like a lot of others, to live a healthier life style by eating better and working out. Then we have the large goals. These could involve a new job, moving, etc. Either way, goals are a big part of the new year, what will 2018 look like? Personally, I believe in creating goals, and have seen that they are very helpful. But I can get carried away in a "goal set of mind". I can easily focus on that and forget about the day to day things, and what God’s desire for me is in each of these areas.
For me to stay on track with my goals, big and small, I have to take a step back and be patient. Now before I go on, this does not mean sit back and relax, and not try to reach your goals, or take new opportunities. What I mean is, in the midst of doing what you need to do for your goals, turn to God, your family, mentors, and make sure your goals are for the right reasons. As well as get accountability in them. By doing this you are: -Taking your goals seriously - Trusting others to help you - Giving God control "Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 3:13-14 So lets make this new year count. Whatever your goals may be let's try to achieve them, honor God with them, dream big, give, and be patient. Welcome to 2018 everyone.
